FAQ
What questions we usually get about solar services
A. Application to PLN
– Formal application to PLN (via PLN Mobile or PLN office)
– Must follow quota system (first come, first serve)
B. Basic Administrative Documents
Typically required:
– Copy of ID (KTP / company documents)
– Electricity customer number (ID pelanggan PLN)
– Latest electricity bill
– Ownership proof of building (certificate / lease)
C. Technical Documents
– Solar system design (capacity, layout, inverter, etc.)
– Single line diagram (SLD)
– Equipment specifications (panels, inverter, protection system) PLN needs this to ensure your system is safe and compatible.
D. Approval from PLN
– PLN will evaluate:
– Grid capacity (quota)
– Technical feasibility
– If approved → you can proceed installation
E. SLO (Sertifikat Laik Operasi)
– Certification that installation is safe and compliant
– Issued after installation by certified inspector
F. Meter Adjustment
– PLN will install / replace meter (advanced meter)
– Required for monitoring solar usage
This cost can vary depending on factors such as panel efficiency, roof type and complexity, system size, and whether batteries are included, so while the per-square-foot estimate is useful for rough planning, it’s more accurate to calculate solar costs based on system capacity and energy needs.

Battery connections in a solar (PLTS) system should be checked regularly every 3–6 months (or more frequently for high-usage systems), and immediately whenever there are signs of issues such as faster battery drain, voltage drops, inverter errors, or after electrical faults like short circuits or system shutdowns; inspections are also important after extreme weather conditions (rain, heat, humidity) and shortly after installation or repairs to ensure connections remain tight, clean, and safe, since loose or corroded terminals can lead to energy loss, overheating, and even system damage.
